Original drawing of a mother and teen kangaroo

Original Charcoal drawing (and pastel) of a mother kangaroo and her young. The work is titled 'Playing Time'. Awarded the drawing prize at the Townsville Art Society Awards 2021

The reference for this work came from a camping trip in Queensland where at the end of the day the kangaroos would approach the area and eat the grass. This mum and her teenage young caught my attention because the young was very keen to 'play' and practice its boxing skills, and the mother patiently attended to its needs.
